As per the Service Tax regulations [Section 65 (26), 65 (27) read with Section 65 (105)(zze)], it is mandatory for all Commercial Training or Coaching Centres to levy Service Tax on the tuition fees charged to students. As some of you may be aware, Whistling Woods International, since its inception in 2006, has not being levying Service Tax on tuition fees, as we are neither a Commercial Training Centre nor a Coaching Centre. However, as per recent clarifications received by us, the Service Tax clause as mentioned above has been amended to include all institutes, which are outside the purview of the UGC & the AICTE. Since Film education does fall outside such purview, we are compelled, much to our regret, to levy a 10.3% Service Tax on all tuition fees charged to students. |

Fee Policies as above are subject to change at Management’s discretion. Appropriate notification after change of the same will be given to all students. |
