He has been on the Governing Council of FTII, Pune, founding Member of SrFTII- Calcutta, and Managing Editor of ‘Cinema in India’ and currently Secretary – Pune Film Foundation. He has been on Government media advisory committees and on Film Industry bodies including Film Federation of India, Directorate of Film Festivals, Executive Director of Indian Federation Against Copyright Thefts (INFACT), Executive Director of Cine Artists Welfare Fund of India etc.
He has been associated with Production, Distribution or Funding of about 150 Hindi & Regional language Feature Films including ‘Gandhi’, ‘Salaam Bombay’ etc., films of Satyajit Ray, Mrinal Sen, Shyam Benegal and other important Indian Directors.
He speaks several languages including French, Spanish and German. He has travelled extensively around the world presenting films in various international film festivals and markets and has addressed conferences on media matters in Hong Kong, Canada, Holland, Paris etc.
